I also have dressing experience working on a production of Lord Of The Flies. This reimagining saw an all-female cast play the role of the stranded school children.

The production was very physical and involved a lot of fight choreography, therefore there were many repairs and alterations to complete during the run of the show.

The production required multiples of each character’s costumes as they become more savage as time passes; these needed to be distressed. Whilst working on the show was able to participate in the breaking down of the costumes. I experimented with theatrical breakdown techniques and products, such as:

  • Roscoe Paints

  • Dirty Down Aerosols and Sticks

  • Shoe Polish

  • Cheese Grating

  • Sanding

  • Dry Brushing
